I do believe that with one good UI/UX-dev OpenHab could easily become the future of home automation, everything is there for it to work. The interface of OpenHab still needs work to properly expose all the great possibilities and options it offers, the mobile app is not yet up to par with the new main UI and the icons offered seem overly aged. The enocean binding / integration works and seems to be maintained by somebody which doesn't dislike the language he maintains (other big difference with Home Assistant). I have seen there are even more possibilities using the deeper logic / scenes way with a great UI. I am reinkommt my whole home to write new rules, just for fun. It's day 2 and I have a button to toggle of all my lights thanks to a totally easy rule. As Home Assistant didn't even get a v1.0 done, I thought 'why not ?'.

Well, you install other systems, Node Red, write some YAML, obvious and easy stuff off course ! Well not really if you just want something to help you in your daily cycle, not have you taking vacations to be able to choose something to turn more than one light of with a button. But how do you make an if / then command ? I tried Home Assistant, good, modern looking interface, quite nice UI/UX at first glance. I just wanted something which could turn on/off the lights, maybe do some scenes and a button to switch everything of. The home itself is nothing fancy : flat with some Shellys managing the lights, some Shelly plugs, enocean roller shutters, done other 'smart' stuff, like a vacuum, netatmo station etc. I have been searching for weeks and months for a good and easy solution to begin automating and controlling my home.
